RuffTRACK
RuffTRACK leads transformational youth programs for young people aged 13-17 years old who have disengaged with school and the community. RuffTRACK provides skills, education, and a sense of self-worth while reconnecting young people with their community. This program is based on working with a wide range of animals such as horses, dogs, alpacas, and poultry.
2021 Pitch
Funds Raised: $66,400
David Graham, also known as Farmer Dave, pitched to raise funds for The Fablads Project which helps young participants learn valuable metal fabrication skills.
The Impact
Thanks to your generosity, the FabLads program has been brought to life. In the last year, 26 young people have learnt skills in welding both aluminium and steel as well as plasma cutting. Their work has been selling across the state at Ag Shows, supporting RuffTRACK and giving profit directly to the young creators. Get a glimpse into FabLads and meet some of the young metal fabricators in this short video here.
A story from RuffTRACK, ""Dyrone" came to us having disengaged from school and living in the care of his grandmother. He came to us in heightened police contact and anti social behaviour. "Dyrone" has been able to take part in the FabLads program under the guidance of Uncle Tony, the welding instructor. "Dyrone" has since reengaged with school and has been on several self empowerment camps, performed at many agriculture shows as well as sold his metal art work with pride. His caseworker notes his incredible transformation based on his skills attained at RuffTRACK."
