Midnight Feast is an independent theatre company that enables actors, writers, production staff and performers experiencing significant physical, intellectual and emotional challenges to participate in the performing arts.

At Midnight Feast, artists’ contributions are written into productions specifically to optimise the talents of each individual with disability. The goal of Midnight Feast is to enable talented performers to reach their full potential as people and artists; participating and performing alongside their able bodied colleagues to audiences all around Australia.

2019 Pitch

Funds raised: $90,600

People living with disability are seldom seen or heard on the theatre stages of Australia. Their abilities are too often underestimated and opportunities to develop as artists are extremely limited. Midnight Feast enables artists living with significant physical and intellectual challenges to participate in the performing arts. At TFN Live, the organisation pitched for funding to to kick off its ‘Wonder to Wonder program.’ The program involves a residential workshop for actors with disability at Australia’s natural wonder, Uluru in the Northern Territory, culminating in a performance at Australia’s man-made wonder, the Opera House.

The impact…

Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, in the interests of supporting our alumni through program delays, the impact report for this project will be postponed until the end of the year.
