Emerge Toowoomba
Emerge do whatever it takes to help as many young people who are having a hard time as possible for however long it takes and no matter how hard it is.
Emerge is a Toowoomba-based youth organisation with a difference. The organisation provides at-risk young people in the local community with access to employment, emergency accommodation, mentorship and social opportunities to help them reach their full potential. Emerge is part of the BackTrack network of organisations supporting disengaged and/or at-risk youth.
2022 Pitch
Funds Raised: $35,000
At TFN Brisbane, Jen pitched to scale the impact of Emerge's House 360 program, aimed at reducing the high volume of youth homelessness in the Toowoomba community.
The Impact…
Emerge shared that without the support of the TFN their House 360 home; the heart and soul of their organisation could not have continued. 2022 - 2023 was a critical period for Emerge's future and with thanks to those who got in their corner they have now succeeded in not only providing coal face support to youth doing it tough, but have recently employed a program manager and solidified this home in the Toowoomba region. Many more kids will have the opportunity to grow and change with thank to TFN and generous donors.
14 young people have lived at the Emerge House 360 home with a further 5 who have used the home for short term accommodation in crisis situations e.g sleeping in a park and needing a safe space for the night.
