2021 Pitch
Funds Raised: $33,500
Ronnie knows professionally and personally the relentless demands and debilitating stress that family carers endure daily. She pitched at TFN Live event in Brisbane for funding to support 25 Young disadvantaged Carers to attend the three-day lifechanging wellness programs.
The Impact
With the support that The Carers Foundation received, they have been able to support 32 young carers through immersive wellness camps. They have supported young people like Tom: "He cares for his single-Mum who was severely disabled from a stroke. Tom has no-time for personal fun or sporting activities and often gets bullied at school. Tom blossomed over the three-days at camp. Following the program Toms Aunty called in tears, she wanted to thank us for getting her nephew back as since returning he hadn’t stopped-talking and was smiling non-stop. He was even happy to be caring for his Mum."
