Indigo Foundation
For almost 20 years, Indigo Foundation has supported grassroots organisations in some of the most marginalised communities around the world to define and implement their development goals. These community development goals include empowering women and girls, improving outcomes in education and health, defending human rights and building strong and resilient local organisations. Indigo Foundation’s impact is wide, supporting projects in Afghanistan, India, Indonesia, Rwanda, South Sudan, Uganda and Namibia.
2021 Pitch
Funds Raised: $70,150
Ali Reza, delivered an inspiring pitch, drawing upon his own experience of being born and raised in Afghanistan before coming to Australia as a refugee, constantly reflecting on the importance of education. He pitched for funding to build two new schools, provide educational resources and supplementary salaries for female teachers across two partner schools in Afghanistan.
The Impact…
In the last 12 months, the people of Afghanistan have faced immense challenges after the fall of the Afghan Government only 3 days after the TFN event. Indigo Foundation have been able to directly support 125 teachers with humanitarian relief and suplementary salaries as well as purchase much needed learning materials, which extends the impact to 9000 direct and indirect beneficiaries.
Indigo Foundation are yet to acquit the full grant amount, we will touch base with them in 6 months time and share the full impact report with you then.
